La Maison Blanche - Location
The farmhouse is situated in a sheltered valley below the medieval village of Bargemon and is surrounded by beautiful green hills. It is approximately 30 miles from the coast at St Raphael, approximately 35 miles from St Tropez and 12 miles from the market town of Draguignan.
Bargemon is a charming and picturesque village which retains the original 12th century gates and fortifications. It abounds in fountains, shaded squares and restaurants where you can sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere. It has a small weekly market and boasts 2 boulangeries, a small supermarket, a butcher, a bank and a chemist.
There are many charming medieval hilltop villages nearby and most have a weekly market. Tennis is available in Bargemon and boating and fishing at Lac de St. Cassien (28km). there are many good walks nearby and for the really energetic a Grand Randonee along the base of the Gorge du Verdon or, for those not so energetic drive along the spectacular rim of the gorge. Other grande randonnes are nearby. Cycles can be hired from the local tourist information center in the village. Skiing is possible in season in the Southern Alps, 1hr 30 mins away.
The coast and beaches are within easy reach, as are St Tropez, St Raphael, Cannes and Antibes. Those with more sophisticated tastes can take the train from Les Arcs along the coast to Cannes, Monte Carlo and Menton. There are Cote de Provence wines to sample at Figanieres and perfumes to sample at Grasse. A car is essential to explore this wonderfully unspoilt area of Provence and also enables you to sample Provençal cuisine in the many and varied restaurants.

40 minutes drive to Frejus, 30 miles to St. Raphael and St Maxime, 35 miles to St Tropez.
Golf:
There are two championship courses within 30 minutes traveling time at Fayance and La Motte.

Via channel Port to Aix-en-Provence and A8 to Le Muy. Approx. 730 miles from Calais.

The village of Bargemon is just under 2 km from the house, but there is a short cut walk which takes approx. 10 minutes.
